Prof Matthew Campbell graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2002 with a degree in Biochemistry and subsequently went on to complete his PhD there in 2006. In the same year, he joined the Genetics department in TCD where he now leads Faculty. He has published extensively on the role of the “blood-brain barrier” in health and disease. He currently lectures in Genetics at TCD and also directs the Neurovascular Genetics Research Group based in the Smurfit Institute of Genetics.
Matthew’s expertise in clinical research is hugely valuable to the medical aspirations of Personal Health. He is particularly enthusiastic about the ‘brain benefits’ of our Medically Led Fitness programmes
